saturday afternoon at Bodiam

we took a picnic and went to Bodiam castle, sat on the riverbank, watched the steam trains go by and the ducks waddling past - read the daily mail cover to cover on the royal wedding and vic read his book.

a gust of wind took my sun shade (otherwise known as vics golf umbrella) into the river - vic had to climb down the bank to retrieve it, got stung in the process by nettles, and was not amused. ha ha.

lovely afternoon at pashley manor

after we had sat and watched the beautiful royal wedding, had lunch and then set off for a dose of fresh air - ended up at Pashley Manor where they had a tulip festival. we took some lovely photos, had a cream tea then sat in the gardens reading our books (i think i love you (mine) and 15th club (guess who!) came home for pizza and chips; end of a perfect day no less...

today at winchelsea!

went to rye harbour, then to rye for a ploughman's - then on the way back stopped at wind=chelsea for a stroll on the prom prom prom! rather windy (vic nearly lost his hat in the sea) and then home for tea.

bluebell picnic

a walk through the local nature reserve and a picnic by the lake - beautiful end to a sunday afternoon. read the papers, did the crossword and ate apple, cheese and crisps! vic got his legs out...
