It's now April...
And I seem to have completely bypassed March! Gets busier I'm sure the older I get (62 in March) I thought life was meant to slow down a bit .... Just some highlights from that manic month then; Easter, looking after babies, weekend away in brightlingsea, visit to sissinghurst, Mother's Day and seeing mum, catching up with old friends...

Valentine's Day
Tea in bed and a lie in ( first for so long can't remember when!) exchanged cards and little gifts of chocolate! love Valentine's Day and feeling very grateful for all the love in my life. It's way more important than money or 'stuff' ( except pencils maybe?!!!) but it's what makes the world a better place.

Hello February
Hello February
February, and a step nearer to spring - evenings a bit lighter...thank goodness.
Spent much of the first week looking after the babies or going to work! Great family get together at 'the ostrich' and a super Sunday lunch.
Just watched suits and now 'create & craft' They are chatting about the 70's - food drink and music and it's quite nostalgic ( blue nun and black tower anyone!) pink floyd and hawkwind ...z cars, the Sweeney ....oh gawd I must be old!
Think I will just make a hot drink and go to bed. Goodnight x

Sunday crafting
First day of feeling 'back to normal' so after the housework etc I decided I must do something with all my bits and pieces so, inspired by the magazine I was reading yesterday, I made a few cards. Two of them are for residents Joan and Liz who had birthdays this weekend and rest ....just because!

Midway January 2016
Half way through January already and I feel like I've wasted so much of it ( not being well) but I need to make sure I don't miss the rest. It's a beautiful cold sunny morning - vics at work and I'm left to my own devices. Need to catch up on so many jobs I've not been able to do but first I need some breakfast! There's washing to sort, floors to hoover and stuff to tidy....and then a brisk walk maybe!
Well it's now 2.56am and needless to say I only managed the washing! But I did rest and feel much better although still can't sleep ( hence me writing this at a ridiculous time in the morning ) I also opened my free gift in a #crafts beautiful magazine from December - a bowmaker - and several 'you tube' demo's later I managed to perfect the perfect bow! Which led me to raid my stash for bits of ribbon. One thing led to another and then I found an old copy of #sewsomerset magazine ( never throw them away) and was inspired ...by everything! So then I started a few collages using the bits in a tin marked 'special stuff' but I've now decided enough is enough and I must sleep. Taken some photos of my work in progress. Goodnight x

Hello January
I'm starting to feel better after two weeks of a chest infection and for fun my daughter suggested I make a video of me colouring ...so I did! Could this be the start of a new career? Staying indoors enjoying myself ( not sure how one earns money doing it) but we will see! Lol
btw I'm not posting it cos it's a bit rubbish but it was fun to do!

December 2015
My highlights of December- Hannahs birthday, getting ready for Christmas ( I love pretty lights and decorating the house) Xmas shopping in tenterden, 3 family Xmas days and making lots of kusudamas ( my new obsession)
Work was busy and toooo stressful so that I ended up with a nasty chest infection and have been off for last two weeks, only struggling in for 3 hours on Christmas Eve to wrap 37 residents presents and four guests, which nearly finished me off! However I now feel I'm on the mend and my iPhone has been a life saver, discovering new blogs and IG feeds which have kept me entertained. No tv in my bedroom but I haven't felt like watching anything anyway!
