Day 2 looking after Jude

He slept all night which was brilliant as we needed our sleep last night!  Woke at 6 took him in with us for a cuddle and he went back to sleep till 8
Breakfast was weetabix mashed with banana and warm milk and he ate it all up.  Played with his toys changed his nappy then he fell asleep in my arms - put him in his cot and he slept till gone 11. Dad had gone by 11 so when he woke up I put him in high chair while I brought the cot up to use as play pen, put in all his toys and he played til lunch.  Gave him a sachet of chicken and veg warmed it but he didn't eat much, then he had a natural yoghurt and pears - managed to get it everywhere!  Had all his bottle.

Decided to go out as we were - half dressed, house a mess, me no makeup or even brushed my hair today and both covered in yoghurt - grabbed phone and camera and off we went to the park!

Jude enjoyed the swings and little go on the slide but he was tired so back in pushchair and took a walk, he went to sleep.  Got home and left him in porch til he woke

We played with the bricks, he read mollie makes and watched cbeebies....grandad got home and we got his tea ready - lamb meal, followed by avocado and pears then jelly.  Had a play, then ran his bath and he had great fun splashing about with his  toys.   Got him dried and dressed and then he was ready for his bottle, drank almost all in one go, really enjoyed it.  Changed dirty nappy (first of the day) and got him settled, watching 'in the night garden' - then Marky came to take Him home.  Missing him already, such a lovely day, he was so happy.....

The day hannah went back to work....

Hannah asked me to write down exactly what jude did today without her, she missed him loads, so here is the story hb,

Jude woke up at five to six, bright as a button, chatting away to himself. Changed his nappy and gave him a cuddle and read his fav book for a while, before going through to living room to wake granddad.

I made up his bottle while granddad took charge of jude and then i settled down to give him his feed which he enjoyed while granddad a took a shower and dressed.  We got him into highchair for breakfast; i went to have a shower and get ready when i got back, he had eaten  toast, scrambled egg, fruit, and drank his water.

We got jude dressed in chinos and tshirt and granddad took him up to the village for a walk, posted your parcel and got dinner for tonight.

I meanwhile was tidying and washing up and then trying to do some work for Karen – got v frustrated as i couldn’t figure it out.  G came back – jude had only just gone to sleep – he was too busy finding out what was going on in the village and chatting up the locals .... he only slept for a while so we brought out the cot/play pen on the front lawn, put in his toys and let him play while G tried to drink a cup of tea and read his book – hahah, no such luck!

By this time it was lunch hour, and we heated a jar of something or other spaghetti  i think... jude enjoyed it, for pudding he had lots of fruit and then while later he had a bottle – drank all up! Changed nappy, put him in his buggy and off we went to the park.  He had  a lovely time on the swings, then G took him on the slide which he loved.  We then walked towards the nature reserve but before we got very far jude had gone to sleep.  Chance to have some lunch – 8bells right there- so we sat in the pub garden (only ones there) and ordered a cold drink and a baguette. Lovely.  Jude woke up as we walked home, sun was shining, sky gorgeous blue.

G put the carrycot/play pen out on the back garden as the sun had moved round by then.  He sat happily looking at his books and trying to claw his way out at the same time!  G brought the high chair out and we gave him his tea – heated pouch of some vegetable stuff, and then lovely yoghurt with bits of pears in it. Ate it all up.

There was a lovely moment when jude heard the birds singing in the trees – he seemed mesmerised by them and the look on his little face was magical.  We just looked at each in amazement.  Very special moment.

Jude started Teeth grinding- they seemed to be bothering him. Took him indoors and i ran him a bath while G changed nappy.  Put him in the lovely warm bubbly water with his toys and gave him a lovely wash especially his dinner face!  Then it was time to lift him out and wrap him in a warm towel and get him into his pj’s.

Made up a bottle while G gave him a cuddle – just settled down to give it to him and his Daddy arrived! Jude was so pleased to see him and daddy finished giving him his bottle while we packed away ALL his stuff.

Then it was time to see goodbye,  missing him already!

Thank you for a super day, tired but happily so................xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A day in the life....

From the minute he woke up at five to 6, he was. Jude was a Joy to look after!
