Day 30 - handwriting

this is the last day of the june photo challenge, and its been fun.  today I was going to photograph my grandma Beatrice's handwriting but couldn't find it at the time of looking, but found this instead and as we were off to see Hannah Beatrice and her baby I thought this would be appropriate....

cant wait to print out the june photos on instagram- its been a brilliant month- summer arrived at last, baby Jude arrived (at last!) great music around and generally been a good four weeks...loving life and appreciating everything in it.

not my favourite colour exactly, but useful and when I look around I seem to have a lot of it...

Day 27 - into the sun

 

vic usually brings home the papers from the salon for me to do the crosswords, the mail which I can do quite quickly and the sun - which has cryptic and normal clues and takes a bit longer but I enjoy the challenge.

Day 26- empty

 

 

the sorry state of the petrol gauge after driving to Essex to see my mum today!! soon had it all filled up again for the journey home. lovely day, went to barleylands (for a crafting fix) vic went to the driving range and we had lunch out with mum

Day 25 -sharp

 

for this photo, I decided to take a snap of my favourite scissors, very special and very sharp fiskars ones ive had for ever and use for all my crafting-couldn't be without them (even though I have a drawer full of scissors all sizes and sorts, these are the best)

Day 24 negative space

 

had to look up what negative space was - interesting concept.  this is just a sprig of rosemary on a sheet of white paper, altered in phonto.

this could only be one photo for me, (almost) my whole family at Hannah and Marks wedding, this day last year.  its their 1st wedding anniversary today and they have spent it mostly in the maternity unit awaiting an addition to their own little family....

day 12 of the photo challenge- 11o'clock.  so here it is... off to bed (setting the alarm) and taking a book and cup of tea with me. really enjoying lee child's latest thriller...

day 11 - tuesday - something funny

changed my profile picture on f/b today to a picture which makes me smile. cant remember what we were laughing at but as joel was taking the photo is was probably him. it was taken at his house on sat when we were celebrating his birthday (a day early)

day 10 -You!

Monday 10th June - I couldn't think of anything so Vic has offered to do it - he even used the ipod!!!

day 9 - sunday- from down low

its joel's birthday today, vic has gone to play golf and I watching sewing on QVC

'from down low' is a challenge, will have a think

in the end, I asked vic to take the photo as I am still not feeling well, been in all day!

he took an excellent shot in our garden of the ferns...

Day 8 - SATURDAY - an animal

my animal picture is going to be a dinosaur  -a decopatch one from hobbycraft. didn't buy it, don't want it even!  I took a photo of it  on the ipod but as yet have been unable to work out how to transfer it to here!

Day 7 friday-BRIGHT

this is BRIGHT and makes me smile when I look at it. its on the wall at work (this is just a section of it used on the latest newsletter cover) and is part of a collage done by residents recently.

day 6 thursday- transport

Thursday's trip out for the residents was on the Kingfisher boat at yalding.  while 12 staff and residents went off down the medway, the minibus driver, john, and I found a pub by the river and had a coffee while planning out next month's trips....

wednesday 5th june- ennvironment

lovely day with Hannah, diane joined us at lunchtime and then we went for a walk in the park, met tilly. glorious day, sunshine, blue sky, beautiful trees, birds and ducks and we saw a tortoise!

 

I asked Hannah to take this photo for me- for environment picture- love the way the branches of the tree look against the blue sky

day 3 - on my table

on my table is my crochet - not finished yet of course.

day 2 - ' a moment'

well, haven't had it yet - woke at 5.30, birds are singing, lovely morning but still dont feel too good so just watching frazier on tv and doing some crochet (making tonto another blanket) now im going to boil the kettle for a cup of tea. vic will be off to golf soon.....and i am going back to bed!

the 'moment' is going to have to wait....

 

in the end, i chose this 'moment' - vic, who picked up a sketchbook and pencil without being prompted and spent a few happy moments drawing the roots of his fruit tree (at least i think that is what it was) lovely day.

june photo a day challenge...day 1 B is for bunting

1st june today, sun is shining and i feel rough!  hannah has sent me a link for a 'photo a day' challenge during june and as its a special month for her particularly, i will join in.

well, it could be baby, but he hasn't come yet, so it will have to be bunting... i have done loads so far but run out of material so need to get some today to finish off. we promised natalie we would do 100 metres of the stuff for her wedding in august! so here is my photo for 1st june...
