first is a photocopy image of a flower i photographed in the summer, pasted onto a watercolour background, colourwashed and outlined.


next is my version of the 'still life' abstract picture hannah and I attempted today - i like hers best!

finally, just two pages from the art journal - still not done any journalling though! nothing to write about... how sad is that?

Abstract competition

This is Hannah's first attempt at an abstract still life. I love it ! We have had a brilliant day today just painting and doing our art journals at her kitchen table... listening to radio 2 and drinking tea !

my altered book - first one!

started the front cover last night, but have lots more bits to add.

love this believe in miracles page (used a sticker!) used gesso first and it makes such a difference to finished result. love gesso now.

the colours havent come out as well as they are on the page - i used a flash this time but maybe its the light - dont know will try again soon.

hannah's finished present

she eventually got it how she wanted it to be and this is the finished result! natalie and joel loved it and will hang in frank's room!

art journal sunday

just put these on for hb to see ive started on my art journal! these are works in progress so it will be interesting to see how they evolve. need to actually put some journalling on but every time i do i paint over it! going to spend ALL DAY today playing with paint and vic can go to the driving range or whatever !!
