day out in canterbury

lovely day in canterbury today with vic, daughter hannah and her boyfriend mark. we saw the cathedral, looked at all the shops and had coffee in several places!

very inspiring city but no craft shops open. spent some time in waterstones deliberating over which books to buy and in the end didnt get any. the new sophie kinsella book is out though so i was tempted...

bought some lovely cards, and a tub of chocolate buttons from hotel chocolat.

what i bought today

had a a lovely day with mum & dad. had lunch then went into wickford to visit a new craft shop that opened recently! bought a pro-marker pen and some beads. cant wait to use the pen to find out why everyone seems to be talking about them. the beads i will use to make a necklace...

over the rainbow

took these photos as we were going over QE2 bridge on way back from essex tonight- there was a complete rainbow - it looked amazing - a complete arc; shame my photos are so rubbish.

wednesday 8th sept

picked some blackberries this afternoon and mum made us a blackberry and apple crumble and a victoria sponge with chocolate icing and sprinkles!
